How to Limit the number of posts in a blog

If your blog is showing too many posts and you dont know how to minimise the number of posts being showen in your front page.

Then the following steps can assist you reduce the number of posts in your main page


1. In the dashboard click on settings
2. Go to Settings | Formatting:
3. Click the dropdown list box setting for show.
4. You now ablet to adjust the number of days worth of postings or number of posts to be shown on the first page. eg If I select 6 posts then it will only show 6 posts on the main page.
5. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click save settings


Once you've made your changes, just republish your blog to see them on your webpage.

Notes:

* "N Days" actually means N Days with posts, so the number of posts displayed could potentially date back farther than the number of days you've specified (if you miss a day of posting, for example).
* Overall page size is limited to 1 MB, so if you try to list hundreds of large posts all on your front page, you may get a publishing error. Lowering the number of posts displayed should fix this.
