I read the book this year after reading all the hype. It was an interesting book. The book actually started well but in my opinion finished poorly I have forgoten why though. Using the book as a pointers I ended up reading a lot of good information on the internet especially finding information on the lost mary magdaline testament.
At university I did one unit of religion and I wanted to write a paper on how religion is like natural selection. So religions survival depends on how it adapts to extenal factors at the time while the religions with no follower die out. I think that was what happened to a lot of versions christianity in the first century.
I am a christian mainly because my father is a methodist/Uniting Church minister. I dont attend church every Sunday but try and get my kids go to Sunday School every sunday. I believe Sunday School will give them a good moral foundation. Where moral really is the type of behaviour I want my kids to follow ie Be honest, Look after your community, Be nice to people etc.
I do know one thing for certain though and that there is power out there that we dont understand or are able to explain. Later on I will give experince in why I believe that.

Who cares eather the Da vinci code is real or not. God isnt real, Jesus might not be all hes cracked up to be. the Christian churcgh just made it all up to answer questions, get people under there controll. Qet honestly i dont see what the fuss is about. All the protest about the book and movie is just a load of garrbage.
I'm going to see the movie, i've already read the book and the movie sounds fantastic.
da vinci rocks, Christian church complain just to get attention.
I believe that the author is crazy to write such a book The Da Vinci Code.He just need wants to make money and he knows publishing such kind of immoral books would certainly take the people's attention and he could make enough money...
But you know what author just remember that God is real..and we Christians stongly protest against this book...
And we are waiting to see the punishment that you are going to receive from the God Almighty and that too soon...

Any person that is true to their faith doesn't have to try to boycott a movie, or for that matter be afraid to watch it themselves. All the complaints will only drive more attention to the movie. I am very secure in my faith, and I believe it was a good fictional movie. And if you attempt to buy the book you will find it in the fictional section as well. So if your all worked up by the movie maybe you should spend your extra time reading about your faith instead of a movie that your afraid of.
I belive that the author rockt the boat quite well,in writing his book.It is a novell,or is it more to the thruth as anybody thinks? I think,book and film are fantastic and i personaly think thereis more behind,or why dos the church such a foss out of it.What has the church,specialy the catolic church to hide?

The orld is dying because of this movie. Cant you see the effects after this movie was showed? The people of God were scattered. Some of them believed with this movie while many of us as Christians we believed that those sheeps(people) have lost lost their Sheperd. I know that my words are not always correct with the respect of grammar because I am only a Filipino Christian but i'm trying hard just to protect the Dignity of a Human. My Brothers and Sisters, If you are always figthing with this movie then i tell you that this world is DYING because of you. Just always remember the Life and Love that the Lord Jesus offered to us. Has anyone could do that thing that he/she cleaned out of sin?

Da vinchi code couldnt have been real. Da vinchi was niether present at the last supper nor is he known as a religiously inspired person. I wonder why the whole world would want to ponder over the figment of a misguided and demented homosexuals imagination
I think that people who are really zealous about this movie either on the religious side or the agnostic/atheist should get a hold of their reigns. Look, it's a movie based off something someone dreamed up with borrowed info from secular sources and so called Free Mason/Lodge shadowy, cloak and dagger secretive misgivings. "Trust in the Lord, with all of thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding" - for the Christians. "I think, therefore I am." - for the agnostic/atheists. It's intention is for edutainment, to inform the uninformed of some ot the shortcomings of faith and logic. I score the movie a "worth seeing"

The loved the movie but I still do not understand why it was so imporant of keeping he had a bloodline a secret. If it really true Jesus had a wife and kids, I would still love him the same.
Yes I agree this book should be in the fiction section in the libary...... Along with the Bible and all the other so called holy books.

the DA VINCI CODE book is very good; personally while reading that book i am totally envolved in character. the writer had great power to interact people.only because of that book my wish to visit PARIS.
