Ethonal Car Exceeds sales target

SAAB has confirmed its enthanal car has exceeded its 2006 sales target this year and anticipates to sell three times that number next year.

Story on how Water supply can't meet thirst for ethanol plants. Comment that "Nowhere is the growing clash between economic development and water conservation more evident than in the push to build ethanol plants that typically guzzle 3½ to 6 gallons of water for every gallon of fuel produced". This will be a factor in Fiji as we have our own water delivery problems.


Brazil, once almost completely dependent on imports for oil, early next year, Brazil will begin producing as much oil as it consumes, and shortly thereafter it'll join the ranks of the world's net oil exporters.
