Purim in 2011 parallels to current world problems

Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. It commemorates a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination. Purim is celebrated on 19th March 2011.

The main story is how Esher saved the jewish people by being a trusted adviser to a King when one of the advisors of the King was jealous of the power of jewish influence over the king.. The Yaman and all his sons were executed with the assistance of the jewish adviser Mordecai.

Local example of story of Purim is in early 1953, Stalin was planning to deport most of the Jews in the Soviet Union to Siberia, but just before his plans came to fruition, he suffered a stroke and died a few days later. He suffered that stroke on the night of March 1, 1953: the night after Purim. The plan to deport Jews was not carried out.

I can see close parallels of story of Purim with the chaos that is going on now, with majority of Obama's closest advisors are jewish which is causing a lot of jealousy by non jewish people especially on the issue of Israel and Finance scandals.

I am still a confused about this topic and will flesh this out later as think that this Purim is significant in 2011 and has parallels with current world problems .
