UN to take on Libya by the Issue of no fly zone

U.N. approves no-fly zone over Libya which means that raids may begin this week by British forces.

Interesting aspect to this is that Egypt is reported to be shipping weapons and ammunition to Libyan rebels with the knowledge of the Obama administration.

I have a significant number of my families members either employed with the British Army or as security in the Middle East. I also have other members waiting for more job opportunities as security personell, so  this escalation in Middle East must be good for them.

In terms of oil prices not sure how this will affect them as I consider that the main issue by TPTB is to take back control of oil fields to reduce instability in daily oil production.  The statement from the UN was
The U.N. Security Council has approved a no-fly zone over Libya and authorized "all necessary measures" to protect civilians.
which is interesting as where were the Armed forces and planes to protect the people in Zimbabwe, Bosnia and Rwanda.  But I suppose they don't have any significant amount  of the most important commodity in the world.

Actions speak louder then words.
