Since they have just had another earthquake in Burma I am going to write about natural disasters 2011.
I went to primary school, high school and University in Australia so my views were pretty western in explaining things around us. Even though I was brought up in a Religious household, I was not very religious. Then I went back to live in Fiji and worked for a company that manages land for the majority of Fijians. Then I started to experience events that probability of happening was very low.
There is a strong connection between Fijians and the land in Fiji and a lot of unexplained events have been contributed to the power of the land. In the last few years I have felt that there is something wrong with the world, like its sick or something. That was a main reason I started blogging again last year. Anyway actions speak louder then words and the following is a list of natural disasters 2011 in which I am linking to wiki articles for more information.

I found your blog and this post while searching on Google. Thank you so much for posting this and please continue to update. While many people are in denial about the increase in Disasters and wars around the world, as well as their intensity, I believe it is vital that we pay close intention to them. Once again, thank you and please continue to update!
i fear it is to late for us to change the world and our destructive ways. mother nature is pissed and wants her lands back because we cannot take care of it the way we should. i hope you continue to update this so we can all keep track of how strongly the world is changing.

When you said "I really do believe we have to change our ways or the earth is going to get sicker". I disagree, the earth is not getting sick its trying to get better; by getting rid of all of us.
There is no such thing as mother nature. have any of you given any thought that God controls every existance, and that God commands the earth to throw out its burdens causing all of the disasters. The universe follows god's commands and obey his orders and so should all of his creations.

The amount of natural disasters this year alone (not even half way thru) has already doubled those of last years. We have not taken care of our earth and it is too late to save it-not enough people care to change the way we live today. Sadly i see more natural disasters coming and if people dont change their life styles in 2012 we wont be here much longer. Mother nature is washing us out and bringing in the new.

Amen. Jesus is trying to get our attention— all of us. Without getting angry, or making a rude comment, please just ponder this for a moment. None of these things that have been happening recently are a coincidence. Every single prophecy that the bible tells of, has come to fruition thus far with the exception of— well let's just say VERY few— which are showing signs of coming true in the VERY near future, if not happening at this very moment. Read Matthew 24, and Revelation. Time is of the essence, everyone. Please do not believe Satan's lies that the bible is a joke, because that's exactly what he wants you to believe. Most people will not figure it out until late in the game— don't be one of them. Jesus left us clues. I urge you— don't take my word for it— look it up for yourselves— but REALLY LOOK. If you truly do your due diligence, you will be one of the few who know the truth.

Even if you don't believe in Jesus, He believes in you. It's not too late— He loves you and wants you to come as you are.
God doesnt control the environment any more than Poseidon controlled the seas. Religious differences aside we can all agree that in order to ensure our existence we must learn to live with the Earth. War, corruption, greed, all of the things that make this world miserable are the creations of man. But we could change it all if people could look past their differences...just take a step back and look at the bigger picture and we are capable of achieving great things. We could change if we wanted to, but that wont come without a little bit of sacrifice! Yeah change can be scary, but what's even scarier is that the younger generations of tomorrow will have to suffer for the ignorance and bigotry of our fathers.

I hope that the many that read this are inspired to contribute to improving the conditions of our environment. No matter your beliefs we can all improve our surrounding to the benefit of others as well as ourselves.
I would suggest that you add the date of each event. It will add to the significance in time to come.
It would be nice to have a few other years in the past to compare with this one. For instance disasters in 1911, 1951, 1991, etc.
The planet is clearly sick, as are the people. Its important to recognize that you, all people, all life and all things are of the same energy, and share the same conscious field. There is some time left, not much, but those of us that care can get us turned around. The first, and most essential step is MASS, GLOBAL use of the hemp plant. It is the ONLY way to a sustainable lifestyle. It can grow in most any climate, absorbs C02 from the air, absorbs harmful chemicals from the soil, it can make every product that oil, cotton and trees can make, and in almost every case, the product is much better than its counterpart. Food, entire houses and cars, fuel for any fuel using machine..enough BS from our "leaders". Educate yourself and those around you.
You can add mass flooding and wild fires in Alberta, Canada to the list, and wasn't there a huge earthquake in Chile? Or was that not this year?

I have just been reading about fracking and how it has caused earthquakes and contaminating drinking supplies.
When I first read about it I knew the process would have significant negative affect to the earth. I think that fracking may be a reason for a lot of the fish dying

I believe that God is making a statement and the people need to pay attention to the signs, the end is coming and the disasters are going to be more devasating and come more often. Our government is not helping, for instance: the oil spill, the space flights, the technology, everything is the key to the end. And this is sad because everything could have been prevented, but now its too late. People of this world: Be prepared for much more of God's wraths.

Could it be mining causing it?? All the oils, natural gases, coal etc we purge from the earth "MUST" be in there for a reason. Arent we depleting the earth of the very things that keep it stable?? The things that keep the core hot??... The fuel thats created from the things we mine from the ground, burn into the atmosphere, damaging the ozone layer so its obviously not meant to be up there!! So not only is the earth unstable but the atmosphere is too!! We all just have to be prepared!!...

Thanks for the list - it has been really useful. However, I have to disagree with what many have said about "God's wrath". We have hundreds of natural disasters every year; maybe more this year due to global warming, but the world pre-humans experienced many more natural disasters.
God is mad.. and he is clearly warning us... I wish people would open up their eyes to see that.

I believe for ever action is a reaction. I don't have much good to say about people these days. Boundaries are pushed, crossed, lack of moral consideration is Hugh. I don't want us to hate eachother, maybe we are overly populated? but I know suppressed disbelief and ignorant action is creating a unimaginable response and energy! I'd like to believe it was because of sunstorms and part of our cycle. Our minds were conditioned so was our world.

The way modern people live their lives is killing our planet. People are like cancer to the earth, slowly but surely we are killing the one thing that can sustain human life in our entire solar system. Look at crude oil for example, they keep telling us that crude oil will run out in a few years time, yet they won't stop sucking it out of the earth in the name of profit. Did anyone ever consider what important role crude oil plays in the smooth functioning of our planet? Maybe the earthquakes of late wouldn't have been so violent if the crude oil was still there to act as lubricant for the gigantic tectonic plates that shift every few years. Just like a car, if there's no oil in the engine it blows up and dies. The same could be said about the planet. Crude oil is obviously inside the planet for a reason yet they keep sucking out million of barrells worth everyday to make money. The planet has finally started to fight back and considering how small we are in comparison to the earth, we're not going to win that war.

In Indiana we are very aware of what happened in 1811: huge comet, great squirrel migration, eclipse that Tecumseh's brother The Prophet used to get support of other Indians, the Battle of Tippecanoe between the Indians and Gen. William Henry Harrison that led to War of 1812,great earthquake at New Madrid and the Mississippi River ran backwards. History shows strange things in other years. Shirley in Indiana.
Civilisation its seems was not without cost. Most 'backward' societies understood the need for balance with ones surrounding, unfortunately there is only one way we can revert to that state. If the Earth is sick our ways are the cause. Its ironic that this beautiful planet that brought forth so much should perish by man's hand.

This is a big list of natural disasters. If we will try to think about it from the past, we can say we are really lucky to survive from this natural disaster
